A couple reports

11-20 Fished with jerms in the Cooper. Objective was to get him his first SC striper and hopefully OTF. Met objective 1 but not 2. That’s ok because we had a lot of fun and caught tons of fish. I tagged 13 reds including several line painters. Jerms had 3 stripers to my one. We had only one trout, but a decent one about 18". The stripers were not busting on top like I had hoped or else the OTF objective would have been met I am sure.

11-22 with Ralph and Daniel from Zman, in the Wando. We started out with plugs and Daniel landed the first fish of the day on a Pop ShadZ. We picked off a few, but then I tied on a TroutEye with a prototype Zman Trout Trick in the new Ralphs Shad color. No joke I made a cast and it got hit on the drop. I missed it, but 1 jerk and fish on. 4 casts, 4 quality trout on that new setup. Didn’t take long for Ralph and Dan to switch to subsurface, and shortly after Daniel nails a gator, 21" trout on the TroutEye/TT setup. We were on a really hot bite for a while. When it slowed we moved and found trout on a different pattern. It wasn’t as fast action but we would catch about 10 trout per pass, which we kept repeating. A cold and windy but fun day. Put about 80 fish in the boat - gotta love November!

Okay, thanks. Learn something new all the time.

Great fishing! Those jigs are nice! A lil pricey, but nice! They have a very sharp point like the Owners needle point too…I assume the price will slowly drop with mass production?

Thanks Stump - I’d like to address the price. These are a premium jig head, and they are expensive to make. I ask you to compare our price to other comparable jig heads with 3D eyes and quality hooks and I am confident you will find ours to be a bargain. Also, they can be purchased in bulk quantities (50,100) on our website at a 20% discount. Thanks and yes, the hooks are very sharp! You don’t really have to set the hook much for them to drive home.

5 packs for the price of 4 at Haddrell’s WA. Good price for quality equipment IMHO. Have yet to use them yet, but they sure do look cool in the tackle box!

I will agree to that about being comparerable with other high quality jigs! On a side note…how you like the TT made with elaZtech? Does the color still slightly change under water? I’m sure they last longer as well? Spill the Bean’s lol

They seem to work well. I’ve tried a green and the Ralphs Shad color so far. I caught a bunch of fish on both. I’m waiting to see the original color match turns out. I hope its close to exact. The elaztech solves the problem of them tearing. I’m a fan. One thing I like about the profile is that the floatation of the material isn’t too significant. You need a little more jig weight to compensate for the extra floatation and, well, our jig heads are perfectly matched at 3/16 oz. :). The mold is an exact duplicate by the way.

Optiker was kind enough to send me an assorted sample pack of those fancy jig heads and I must say they look great! And sharp! Hope to try them out this weekend.

Thanks Dave:sunglasses:
