A DAY WITHOUT STINGRAYS!

My wife and I headed out in search of clean water…headed down the Stono toward Kiawah and found what we were looking for, clean, green water! Fished the end of the incoming and the beginning of the outgoing. We spent most of time in one spot since it was alive with bait. Almost every cast had something hit our bait. Most of the action was on minnows, either under a float or moved along the bottom. Species caught included; spots, whiting, trout, reds and flounder. All were on the small size but one flounder, kept it for dinner. And did I mention that for the first time in about 4 weeks, we didn’t catch any stingrays!!!

Well done. How far down the Stono were you?

Nice job! Moving the bait does keep the stingrays from biting.
