I haven’t made it on to post a report so here are a some pics from the last few days. The fishing has been great lots of small trout all just under 14". The Redfish are so abundant i’m having a hard time concentrating on fishing for anything else. I’d like to find some larger trout and flounder anyone have any suggestions on spots or techniques to try? Most of the redfish were caught on live mullet and mm and a redfish magic spinner bait. Trout caught on live mm and shrimp a couple of them also caught on the same spinner bait. All three days(9-27,9-28,10-1) were in the upper wando from the rivertown area all the way to paradise landing.
DDS2 - I hear the ICW is holding some nice sized trout now, might want to give that a shot. I’ve been fishing the upper Wando as well - lots of trout - I posted a 4 pounder I caught up there last weekend - but can’t seem to find the reds. I think I saw you there one day anchored just hammering the reds…you in a yellow flats type boat?

Yes Sir that would be me yellow and white Flats Fox. You are in the right area for redfish. I have been using live mullet lately they will hit the artificail baits but not as well. I went out yesterday afternoon for about 3 hrs and caught 14 redfish. Were you in the center console drift fishing I think we spoke for a second when you were heading out? Good luck out there and thanks for the tip.
Yeah man, that was me - sent you a PM

Not a great trout fisherman by any means, but seeing bigger ones in the surf lately. Use foot (size 12) for reference haha
Great pics and report. Thank you for sharing. What depth have you been finding the reds in?

Most of them were in 2 to 3 feet of water. A few of them I spoted crashing bait on the bank with their backs out of the water.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing the info. We didn’t catch any monster trout, but had enough for me and a friend both to eat with our families over the weekend. It seemed if you could find a weedline with a sharp drop off (one was 20’+ and the other 16’ with weeds casting distance), it held trout. 10" - 17" trout.
Also held 10" to 17" reds! LOL! Congrats on the big boys. I’ve caught more rats than Terminix this fall.
