Not very many reports have been posted lately; so here goes… I got on the water yesterday around 9:30 AM, and Shipwreck texted that he was wearing them out upriver; so I headed up to join him. As usually happens when I go to someone else’s fish, I didn’t do squat after an hour of pulling; so I moved back down. I found a point that was holding fish in 20-25 feet of water, and it was on for about an hour. Planers, downrod, and cork all did the job. I caught several 26 inch fish that were so fat I don’t know how they were swimming. That bite stopped and I moved down to the Gap area where I put out a spread over deep water. The day ended with some perch on planers and a fat 23 incher on a cork. All total I caught 11. I then ended the trip with a visit with Rick K.-- fresh off his Mexican fishing adventure. Good times!
Good job. I might try this week sometime, but I haven’t really been in the mood to fish lately. Still good to read about someone catching them.

Water was 47-48 up around Barstow. By afternoon when I got around Billy Dreher, I got a reading at 51 and change. Still, it’s pretty doggone cold to be fishing in a kayak.
