A great day on the water for a great cause

Whole family fished today. Fished the Dorchester Children’s Center’s Fishing-4kids tournament and Momma volunteered to be first mate for us! Had a great day. Caught about 14 redfish, 1 flounder and 3 trout. Ethan got the slam, but all fish were either too big or too small:frowning_face:.
Reds were nailing cut mullet on carolina rig like crazy but I wound up getting a tourney winning red with a mm on a jighead. Trout and flounder caught on smokey shad z-mans. Megan wound up with junior angler for her trout.
Was a great day! DCC put on an AWESOME tournament and they do a ton to help over 900 abused children every year. Do the math. That is almost 3 A DAY they help. Sad how many they don’t get a chance to help. Was a pleasure to support such a worthy cause and group of people. Watch for it next year, sign up and enjoy!

Hey, Great job Vin and family! Man you guys have got it going on. It was good seeing you guys the other day. Tell the kids I said congrats and ask Megan if she does fishing lessons. Take care.

Great report and great job!

Great work Vince. Like I said on the SSWA site, you need to keep Cathy on the boat with you. She’s got the mojo going on. And now that she’s actually shed some blood for the cause, you owe her big time. Well done my friend.
