Going to be @ IOP Sunday through Wed. Bringing my kayak and fishing wife. Planned on fishing Copahee, but the tides don’t look to push water onto the flats, soo any advice on strategy there or elsewhere close by? Also, any navigational marks at Copahee to find my way back to the hill? Thanks.
Try fishing out of the IOP marina. The creeks are usually good for trout and reds.

Take a small GPS and just follow the bread crumb path back to your starting point.
depends on where you go for obvious markers.
the creeks back to the landing is marked by an island with a few trees visible from nearly everywhere except at dead low
creek at the main channel out to the ICW usually has a houseboat sitting at the junction
gps is the best tho.
Who’s ready for a sleigh ride?

I’ll tell you what helped me when I started going to Copahee/ Bulls area and other places I wasn’t familiar with… I drew a map with graph paper. I wish I had a printer at home for satellite images, but this worked well for me.
dont ignore the creeks at Copahee and its northern boundaries
