A Little Help from a Report - PLEASE

Looks like the Sun, Moon, Water and everything else will finally workout for me to take my daughter fishing on Tuesday!! It sure seems like todays kids are a lot busier than we were. Was hoping someone that fished (trolled) today or will fish tomorrow could give a quick report on the what and where. Took her last year on a great bottom trip but now she wants to catch a “Pretty Fish”! I thought they were all pretty? It looks like the dolphin bite is slowing so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Guys!

Johnny - we caught 2 of 4 between those points you gave us straight out. the other 2 we caught were a lil deeper, around 240 out past that furthest point. When we caught em it was in areas of scattered weeds. I think if the wind steadies out of one direction for a lil bit you might be able to find some well defined weed lines. Good luck!

Dolphin bite never happened north of Charleston.

We fished on Saturday. Headed out of Shem Creek at 4:30 and had lines in the water around 7:00 about 8 miles west of the South West Banks. Had a 20 lb dolphin on within 10 minutes of setting the lines. Trolled around the SW Banks until 2:00 and ended up with six dolphin ranging from 20 - 50 lbs. My husband was feeling sick so we headed back in but the fish were still biting when we headed back in. The key water temp was 78 degrees. Hot lures were blue and white islander and green and yellow islander trolled with ballyhoo. We talked to many others who fished south and north of us on saturday and only ended up with a couple of small dolphin so I guess we were lucky that we found the right spot. Good luck!
