I was lucky enough to get in a quick trip to the South Holsten River in Tn on the 29th of April. Owen Plair and I went up Sunday night, met our friend Patrick Fulkrod for a couple of drinks, and planned our float for Monday.
Our friend Patrick is an Orvis Endorsed guide in Bristol, and he had just got back from picking up his new drift boat a 2013 CLACKACRAFT Eddy, and we were lucky enough to join him on his first trip on the SoHo in it.
The day started slow but steady with fish coming on midges or squirmy worms drifted under indicators. Later in the afternoon the sulphers started hatching and we had about an hour and a half of great dry fly action. Along the way we also had a bit of streamer action. All in all it was a great day on the water with great weather, great fishing, and great friends.

All in all we had a great trip even if it was a bit too short for my liing.
