Just fished all the way from c.b. to Ft. pierce, hit a bunch of spots and caught a whopper of a pinfish and a Catfish, both were tipping the scales at well under a 1Lb., it was pretty awesome! Hopefully the snook and/or trout will cooperate this evening.
I lived in Ft Pierce for 10years. Great fishing there, I loved going back in the mangroves and looking for Snook,Redfish and Trout. Or fishing the bridges at night. The Jetty is also good.
Goals achieved with little effort are seldom worthwhile or lasting.

My first duty station was Ft. Pierce. That area is a fisherman’s paradise. I remember seeing huge Snook under the piers and watched them snub their nose at everything I threw at em. Finiky sometimes! I was also stationed in Cape Canaveral which is awesome as well. Would love to go back and live there again.
Well the snook were finicky and the trout and flounder cooperated in Ft. Pierce wednesday night/thursday morning. Nothing huge to write about but pretty good for my first trip to new fishing grounds.
Friday went out and fished out of Flamingo. I’ve been there a few times and as usual it was awesome. Caught as many reds as we wanted to pitching jigs into the mangroves. nothing big but a could steady bite.
Got bored with the Reds and decided to look for some Cobia, Permit and triple tails around some markers on our way to a few Tarpon spots. Not a lot going on at the markers. Caught a few Jacks and that was it. We saw one triple but it was happy eating off the marker and didn’t want our shrimp tipped jigs.
Onto the Tarpon spot and the water was muddy. Drifted some Pinfish into some holes and even tried frozen ballyhoo but no luck. We saw a few roll and a few busting bait just not ours!!
Ended up catching probably 30 reds, 6 trout, a snapper, and too many lady fish!
