I knew that golfer, Ben, and a few guys on the golf team. Was my senior year.
He did not hit somebody on the side of the road. Said “somebody” was drunk coming out of a shady nightclub on HWY 123. After it closed at midnight the patrons would all file out and hang out for awhile longer in the parking lot…literally feet away from the HWY. I passed that pass on the way home frequently.
He fell into the road and was hit by Ben. Granted, there were some empty beer cans in the car but he did not jump the curb or swerve off the road.

The investigation was suspect, in my mind.

Clowney was speeding.
Speeding.
Don’t want to get into a war of words IM4 but you said he hit somebody on the “side” of the road which directly implies he went off the road…which was not the case.
Regarding the beers in the car it was suspect, agree, but they did say he passed a field sobriety test.
And yes Clowney was just speeding not a big deal.

Recklessly speeding 110 mph and then again almost 30 mph over the posted limit. Hazardous. Don’t know why this is no big deal. The guy is looking to cause a major catastrophy on the road when he hits another vehicle going that fast. You obviously haven’t seen too many high speed collisions. I have. And have helped pull out the dying and dead from the wreckage. Driving 110 mph on racetrack with other professional drivers is one thing. Driving that way when you are nothing more than a stupid college student amongst other (often inexperienced), drivers is a blatant disregard for the public’s safety. If I had stopped him at 110 mph he would have been in the back seat in cuffs and his car towed. Apparently letting him off with a ticket had zero effect on his attitude. Here’s to hoping that when he does collide with something it’s a nice big oak tree and not somebody’s family or kid. P.O.S.

If I read the law correctly, he could have been jailed for thirty days max for the first offense. If that had happened, he wouldn’t have gotten the second one. Probably would have been in the kids best interest.

I do not condone this behavior. However, I was a kid once too. The fact that non-USC fans are blowing this up is funny.
All the the things IM4USC posted happened. They are brushed off by CU fans. We all seem to do it because we act like the behavior of a player on our favorite team is a personal reflection of us.
I have never met Clowney and probably never will, but what he does, does not reflect in anyway on me.
So B8, I take it when you are driving on the interstate and someone passes you going 110 with your kids in the car you holler “Go head boy, get you sum!”?

So when you read post, do you read the entire post or only the parts you don’t like.
Have you ever driven 100+? I have. not proud of it. but it happened. Does not mean I was a bad kid? maybe not the smartest kid, but not bad.
I did, on a back road where no cars were around and the only person that would be harmed was me.
Also one other time on a motorcycle at night on a country road at 11pm. If anything went wrong either time I would be the only one dead, not on an interstate in the middle of the day.
That’s just dumbass stupid.
If Boyd did the same thing I would call him a dumbass reckless prick the same way. It’s got nothing to do with Orange or Garnet on my end. Can’t speak for anyone else but myself.
It’s to easy for someone to pull in your lane while going 110, react and hit the median blow through the guard wires and hit head on with a mom carrying small kids. The kid shouldn’t been allowed to drive off. He obviously didn’t learn his lesson.
