Access and tips

Coming down from Ft Mill this weekend. Usually pull the boat down but with gas the way it is going to turn to pec power this weekend.

Never paid enough attention to where to put the yak in but thought about just hanging around in Shem or possibly over on the Folly side. I may have to fish from the canoe if I am joined by company.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Also, any good camping areas (i.e. state parks)?

Not much hope of getting a campsite at a state park because it’s shrimp baiting season.

You can launch over at the Old Pitt St Bridge in Mt P. easy access to the harbor and ICW

Sullivan’s Island south end is pretty protected by the jetty’s and you can launch easily. paddle out to the jettys and fish. Do this on a lower tide and you’ll be protected from a lot of the swells.
or Sta 26 (I think) launches into a creek just above the Ben Sawyer bridge

Wando river at the Daniel Island pier. Good fishing in any of the creeks off the Wando lately.

There’s a launch at Bowen’s Island burned out restaurant. Pretty good fishing in that area and closeto Folly Beach.

So much water, So little time

Thanks TB
