Access to Church Creek , to Bridge

Coming off the Stono, is Church Creek deep enough at all tides to get down to Church Creek Bridge? I see some mudbanks on Google Earth, but it looks passable.

It’s deep water from the Stono to about 1/2 mile from the bridge then it get real shallow…at low tide a jon boat can’t get through…got to know where the channel is through out Church Creek…pass the bridge Bohicket side is 5’ min for about a mile then it’s plenty deep.

Not all tides. Like he said, jon boats cant get through low tide. Ive been over it early morning about 2 hours after low in a 23 seacraft and made it but barely. The channel isnt marked very well and right before you get to the bridge there is a sandbar which is passable at low tide depending on the boat if you stay way left

As mentioned earlier, all tides are different, but I have made it through at low tide in by Seahunt 19.5 Navigator(bay), trimmed all the way up. My Garmin indicating 1.4 ft.

Good Info, thanks a lot, guys. Think my first trip will aim for the last of high tide and then fish the first slow start of outgoing tide. Looks like a lot of docks in there, on the way to the bridge.

sam, I live right where it gets shallow, call me and can point out some hazards. the tide is about 90 minutes behind

Don’t know abot the place now,but about 6 years ago that was an excellent trout spot.Hers a pro tip[kinda]if you see alot of folks there the fish are bitting,if there isn’t alotof folks, don’t bother fishing.just like the bridge on hwy 17a after Dorchester road heading toward Walterboro.

Double D.

I work my way to the bridge but it is hard.I now try and catch the rising tide.Great fishing in that area.Big shrimp just past the bridge in 10 ft of water,
