From what I have seen there is no boat ramp but a buddy of mine used to fish his yak there alot. Watch out for the snakes they are all over. And also a good place for crawfish. I have seen blue ones come out of there.
I have a hard time believing that there are no public boat ramps into 4-hole… You will most likely have to enter the swamp from the edisto river. You may be able to find a ramp near the area you want to fish here ( https://www.dnr.sc.gov/mlands/boatramp/ ) or call DNR. Another good source would be to go to the area and find a local tackle shop. I’m sure there are some in the area and they would be glad to give you directions…

I volunteered with DNR back in high school ( late 90’s ), and helped with a study and mapping project of Four Holes from its origin in Calhoun County to its confluence with the Edisto. Chewy is correct. There is no public access at all. The section that you see at the Hwy 78 bridge is one of the few open areas along its entire length. For the most part it is just what it’s called… a swamp.
Also, since it is not considered a navigable body of water you technically have to have a adjoining property owners permission to access it. In other words, if you launch off of a highway without permission, you COULD be charged with trespassing by the owner of the property who’s boundaries you are within.
