I ordered some pre rigged trolling lures, when they got here I figured out that they do not have the pin that pushes through the baits jaws. What’s the easiest way to add the pin?
depending on material… if mono with a crimp i would cut and re-crimp with a pin in the crimp. if wire you can cut and add a haywire twist leaving a long tag end as the pin.
Make the pins out of single strand ss coffee colored wire. I think I use 130lb test wire.

You can also buy a roll of 15 lb monel and learn how to tie a bally down without a pin.
Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

or use copper wire instead of monel…if you have it on hand. I would use whatever would be easiest.
Unless you know who rigged the bait personally, I wouldn’t trust it out of the box. I have seen a few crimps from pre-rigged baits(Boone/Sea Striker) fail under hand-pressure.
Thanks for the ■■■■■■■■. I cut and added sainless wire in my crimps for my pins and checked all the crimps I didn’t need to cut.
