adjustable cork

I bought a Billy bay adjustable depth cork and was wondering if anyone uses them. I like the idea but it looks like it has alot going on. Can they be reused after you take them off? What are yalls experiences with these things? Thanks guys.

Do you trim the tag ends of the yellow stopper string/knot?

Just get the cheap and simple rattle corks and learn to tie knots faster.

I don’t even buy the weighted ones. Just pinch lead on as needed. Endless adjustments can be made.

Funny you said that because that is the way i rigged them last night w the plain old cheap ones except for one adjustable and one DOA weighted. i can tie all my knots blind so thats not a problem. I just thought that the adjustable one was a good idea. Then when i was looking at it last night i was thinking," this is not going to work and if it does it wont for very long and its not reusable unless you jerry rig a new stopper string." I am just going to sick with the same ones i have been using forever. thanks.

Several of my spinning rods have the yellow stopper string on them just in case I want to put the slip bobber on. I don’t take the string off. It doesn’t hinder my casting when using jigs.

Yes, trim the tag ends of the bob stop. I am a fan of the slip bobbers, but cant say they have out produced the popping float.

After two trips w this thing i finally took it off and put on a regular one that I have had for almost two years. i like the old ones better!

I actually am the one that developed this bobber… sold out to bett’s a few years back and now they are being made in China.

The knot can be left on your line, and kinda acts like a teaser if you put a grub or jig on your line. The knots and beads can also be bought in quantity packs.

Some of my best friends have the same opinions yall do, but I’ve out fished them side by side while they were using the non-adjustable counterpart. The adjustable cork allows you to, obviously be able to adjust your depth, but also allows you to cast farther and more accurately since it slides down to your leader when reeled up.

Not trying to be a salesman for them or anything as I no longer receive royalties on the product, but thought yall might be interested to know a good 'ol carolina boy came up with it.
