Advice for jetties

I haven’t fished the jetties since I was a teenager. Looking to head out this weekend since the wind won’t be bad (my boat is a 17’ Scout). I like catching reds and recall landing a bunch of 20-25 pounders there as a kid, but would also love some flounder. Any advice on places where the current isn’t too bad? My wife gets seasick pretty easily so I want to stay in a calm area. We put in at SI so it’s a short jump to the rocks.

It’s going to depend on the wind to avoid waves, but typically closer to the rocks, the less waves, but that comes with risks of ships, sporties and other wakes. Watch what others are doing and do what they are doing…bit of monkey see, monkey do.
