On year two in C-town and still learning, any recommendations or general info for shore / pier fishing this time of year? What’s biting, on what, and where some of the less traveled spot might be?.. I’ve got two good poles and a cast net for fresh bait. Any advice is appreciated.
There are some really good pier fishing YouTube videos under the name of Jiggin Jerry. Everything you need to know.
Breech Inlet, Ft Moultrie on Sullivans, Mt Pleasant pier, Pitt St Bridge. All accessible by foot
I here Demetre “Sunrise” Park is the best place to fish in the Charleston…sorry couldn’t resist.
Seriously, piers and bridges are great and convenient. All are not free though. Just go to any of our beaches (early A.M. this time of year). Get some fresh shrimp, fish on the bottom using smallish hooks around walls and groins, walk the beach around low tide looking for deeper sections. When they start to fill in the fish will move in too.
