What are your go-to lures after sun-up? I go for DOA’s under their float, DOA’s on bottom, plastic grubs on a jighead.
Any advice on X-raps, other suspending lures?
thanks, NaClH2O
No one answered you.
Ivy Shad, Grub, DOA (freelined), (and spooks will still catch fish after sun-up).

My go to is red 1/4 oz jig with white 4" grub.
After sun up - I try to keep the topwater bite going. If that’s not happening and the trout are feeding on fish then: .Mirror lure TT slow sinker, jig new penny, rattle trap, 5" mullet swim bait

Mirro-Lure TT808 is my stand by. Caught a couple of fish on the Mirro-dine (suspending bait) after the top-water bite stopped the other day. As the water cools that morning bite will last a bit later as well.

Lee, where are getting Ivy Shads? I haven’t seen them in years.
good luck on the x-raps, but go to would be mirrodine’s or yo-zuri minnows.

2nd the red jig and white grub. Also had luck on spoons and spinner blades.
Funny, this topic sorta lays there and then picks up a reply every now and then.
Appreciate the ideas, I shoulda mentioned that my favorite plastic grub is the Gulp chartreuse swimming minnow - - gets trout, flounder and reds. They hit it hard. I would take that lure if it was the only lure allowed to catch fish to survive on. (Now that would be a good list to start. . .)![]()
