I plan on fishing late morning on Sunday (2 hrs before low, 2 hrs after) in upper Wando.
Who knows…last time we went in Dec when it was in the low 70’s and everything else was perfect, we couldn’t find any fish.

Today was much better than I expected. I didn’t catch any trout deep like I thought I might but i did find them willing to eat jerk baits off of the oyster bars in 3-6 feet. I ended the day with 8 reds (up to 28.5") and 18 trout (up to 18.5")! Good luck this weekend!

That’s a good day, it feels so long ago since I’ve been fishing and its only been a few weeks. The cold will do that to you.

Was out in the whaler today. Water temp between 46-50. Caught 15 trout to 17.25 and lost about 5 more. Good news!

Glad to here they are still chewing. As long as we do not have any serious cold snaps we can look forward to another great trout year.
