After Work Trip

Finally got on the water some after work last night and had a little success! The wind was windy and the current was ripping but it was a well needed reset and I was happy just being on the water. Worked mud minnows under corks and on c-rigs on the incoming up against grass points with drop-offs. The bite didn’t turn on until the water was to grass and you couldn’t see the mud. Water temp 77. Was my first fish over 20in of the year, probably 6 maybe 7 trips so far.

Looks like somebody must be living right! Catch one red, probably a fluke. Catch a second red, you may be onto something, anything after that means you look, act, and feel like a man that is gonna leave some fish hungry with a case of sore lips!!! Great trip and can’t wait for the next update.

Great Catching, Stump! Interesting observation about water level correlation to bite turning on. I have often noticed “patterns” that don’t seem to make logical sense, but yet are repeatable (most but not every time) of when fish seem to “turn on” or “turn off”. Maybe I’ll figure it out one day.
