Took my father and some of his best friends. Always a great time with great people. Rough ride out but the fish were there. Captain Ben gave us a call where he was catching loads of dolphins. We ran the 3 miles and caught some fish.
We had 2 groups of father and son teams on board for the second day in a row. It was awesome to see fathers proud of sons or sons gaff fish for fathers. I got to catch a few fish and gaff one of my dads fish. He has awlays been good to me and I was glad to get him some fish. They rigged there own baits and hooked and gaffed the fish. My dad even drove the boat for awhile.
Fished on 400 line. in 160 to 400 feet. Congrats to dale lackey on carambra for 92lb wahoo.
Again this was one of my best days. To see my dad run the boat, rig baits, gaff fish and have fun was awesome. He always had the time to take me fishing.
We kept 60 dolphins and tails were hang Nice fish. Released 9 dolphins. Caught a kining out the box. g and lost a wahoo two feet from gaff. Rough tommorrow but we are going to give it a try.
