AGM or Flooded/Wet cell Batteries

Looks like I need at least 1 new battery so I took all four in to get tested. Turns out after being tested the guy recommends four new ones (shocker). I have decided to get 2 new batteries for the trolling motor and maybe 1 new cranking. I still have some life on at least 1 of my old ones. I have 2 questions. 1st Do y’all think the AGM batteries are worth the added cost? And second…for the 2 batteries on the switch, do you recommend 1 crank and 1 deep cycle or both deep cycle?

My plan as of now is to buy 2 AGM for the trolling motor and run a new wet cell cranking and a used wet cell deep cycle on the switch. Thoughts?

I replaced an old cranking and old “house” battery both with the DieHard Platinum Marine Battery from Sears. The battery is around $220 each… I’ve been very happy (and confident that I won’t loose any juice after a day of use). 3 yr warranty.

I’d be shy of a ‘used’ deep cycle battery.

And the Sears version is a direct replacement warranty, not pro-rated. Very nice.
