Anyone tried one? My wife and I got a gift certificate to Bed, Bath and Beyond for Christmas and I’m thinking that might be a good purchase. I’d love to know anyone’s experience.
They are great

Picked up the NuWave model. Only $99. They had another model for $100 more but almost the same capacity. Did boneless, skinless chicken thighs in a teriyaki marinade. They came out fantastic! Browned and tender and done in 20 minutes. Could have cooked on the gril but decided it was too cold. Maybe onion rings next.
Let us know what all you cook in it. I got one for Christmas and did some french fries and Sweet potato fries. I liked em. Got a recipe book with it but have not tried anything else.
The wife bought one on the recommendation of a friend. I was skeptical at first but have to admit they do what they’re supposed to do and do it well. Even take it camping when we go for longer trips.
Fries are better than in the oven, frozen hash brown patties crisp up nice, and frozen onion rings are great. Wife cooked Italian sausages in it instead of making me grill them in a cold drizzle and they came out perfect. Did chicken wings and again, pleasantly surprised. We turned the batch of wings about half way through the cooking and it gave them a nice, even crispness. It has a fairly specific nitch in the kitchen but works well for what it does.
There’s a reason I’m close to the top of the food chain.

Buying those 2 liter bags of Nuwave brand air for it gets expensive.
It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!
You’re not kidding…I may have to switch to generic air!
Seriously though…last night I cooked two large Portobella mushroom caps. Melted a small amount of butter and added a few shakes of Worcestershire sauce. Brushed it on both sides of the mushrooms. A dash of garlic powder and cooked ten minutes on one side, eight minutes on the other. My wife says they were better than steak!
Anyone ever use the oil free/grease less turkey “fryers?” Charbroil makes a couple of models. Peanut oil gets expensive! Youtube videos makes it look pretty easy to cook a bunch of different things. Been thinking about getting one.

Porchop; i have the Charbroil oiless turkey fryer. have used it quite a few times and it is so easy. does exactly what it is supposed to do. puts a nice brown skin with some crispness in it. also the lid for the top works great at the end of cooking. clean up is a breeze. just read how many minutes per lb to cook and have at it. mine sat in the box for almost two years before i used it. had been using my orion smooker. now i use both. have no plans to go back to frying them and spending 30-40 dollars on peanut oil for limited use.
