Has anyone purchased and used a pair of the pliers that are advertised on the front page? I’ve seen them for a while and interested in how they hold up for 35$. They look decent.

Don’t know, but my Berkley $30 ones are already destroyed in less than a year. Won’t cut braid anymore, and already rusted up and crappy looking.

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

I have had good luck with the $40-$50 P-line pliers, no rust after at least 4 years of heavy use in a kayak where everything gets wet and salty.

“Rusted” Aluminum??? Impressive! Must have been used “aircraft aluminum”. I have a pair of Plain’ol aluminum pliers with carbide line cutters. Came from Gander. Work great. Less than $20.
I had a $20 pair of Al P-Line pliers that were crap. After a short time the pliers wouldn’t match up enough to grab a fish hook. The line cutters never did cut braid at all.
I got the $50 Cabelas store brand pliers. They’re great. Precision built, never rust anywhere and cut braid quite well.
I keep my blade and then a pair of these. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AT9448?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
the cutter doesn’t work but they’re cheap and don’t rust. I’m making a purchase of p3 aircrafts advertised on CF
