I have 2004 Johnson 90 Saltwater Edition two stroke
Last weekend I had both the no oil light and alarm go off under power approx 3500rpm.I immediately shut off the motor and checked the oil reservoir and the water intake. Plenty of oil and no blockage of the water intake.
After 5 min cranked the motor no alarm or warnings lights. I went thru the full rpm range with no issues.
Should I be concerned. My guess was an air bubble in the line.
Thoughts and thanks for any help
VRO pump has a warning system built in
do you have the sensor tach with the little red lights at the bottom of the tach

intermittent problems are THE most difficult to diagnose
could be a sensor, could be the tach failing, could be the pump not pumping oil…

Update Replaced the tach with a Faria system check tach with warning lights and it corrected the problem
Thanks for the assistance
