Headed of the the cut this mourning at O’dark 30. Got just past the bridge and alarms start sounding. Both tachs were alarming, for both motors, for temp, oil, and fuel water separator. Pulled in at the marina everything looked good, motors didn’t seem hot, full of oil, and no water in the separator. Decided to not chance it and headed back to the trailer. They are twin F200s. I noticed that both tachs have wiring that goes to the ignition switch and that there appears to be some kind of module there. I was thinking it may be an alarm control module of some sort. Anyone have any thoughts. Thanks.
I still say the wives sabotaged the boat last nigth .![]()
Yeah I looked around for a banana
Edisto-fisher are yours Yamaha’s? If you do you know how to reset them off the top of your head. They both have around 110 hrs but the alarms may have been lit up and we didn’t notice until we had an audible which may have been because we had been idling for a long period.
yamaha doesnt do that only suzuki
did the motors do it again after you restarted?

Chris the motors did it again after we restarted. We turned off and on both batteries then restarted. Even with the motors not running if you turn on the keys all the alarms light up. The audible alarm won’t be going off just the indicators. Then when you crank it up in neutral it will be silent and also when you first put it in gear but if you hit trim up or down the audible alarm will come on. The only thing I can see they share is the ignition switch assembly with that module.
do both motors do this individually or only when they are both turned on?

The corresponding tach will display the alarms for that motor with one or both motors on.
sounds like a keyswitch issue
should have the motors hooked up to a YDS computer and see whats going on

I was kinda leaning towards that. Seemed like the only thing they shared. Do you keep one in stock?
