Alkyd ultra deep base paint

Will this paint work for the bottom of a boat just to serve as color. Boat is trailered. The brand is “Sherman WIlliams” industrial enamel.

Should work fine. I used Interlux Brightsides polyurethane for the bottom and Rustoleum Topside alkyd for the inside. I would not hesitate to use the alykd paint for the outside though, it just wasn’t available in the color I wanted

Somebody told us Wall Street fell but we were so poor we couldn’t tell. Cotton was short and the weeds were tall but Mr. Obama gonna save us all

it may not cure hard enough to stop from “peeling” when loading on and off trailer
it you do use it, let it cure for at least 4-5 days

I have used a similar paint for years on my old Whaler’s bottom. (which is also trailered) I used to get an alkyd enamel from Duron called “Duraclad” but switched to SW’s product when my stepson went to work for them about six years ago. We use the SW “Steel Spec” industrial enamel on all of our trailers both undercarriages and side panels here at my trailer dealership. It’s a great enamel paint with excellent adhesion abilities if the surface is properly prepared and like Chris V said allowing proper drying time before use.
