All Rise report 15-Jun (pics)

Chunky, myself, Papa, the Judge, and pross (aka ladies man) got a late start out of MI this morning. We were greeted with an absolutely beautiful ocean. WOT out and in. Started on a broken weedline in 120 feet trolled out to 300 then back in. The fish seemed to be shallow today. The bite never got hot but was steady through out.

It was good to be back home at the wheel of the All Rise after a few trips with some buddies. Chunky and pross did a great job running the spread. No tangles, kept all 10 lines clear of grass, and no missed gaff shots. Fishing was good and the crew was fun. We were well over due after some many early season mishaps.

Ended with
8 Dolphin
2 Kings
1 Wahoo

Hot baits were the LEHI bleeding dolphin, a home made bait by yours truly, and the JW planer rod.

Highlights:
Watching Chunky stick the wahoo and ALMOST get pulled overboard.

Papa, our 81 year old grandfather boated a nice king.

Judge, waking up from his nap to gaff and catch a dolphin.

Listening to the tunes on the way in while the crew slept with the motors trimmed and running hard.

Had 2 cameras on board today. So lots of pics

WAHOO!!!

To green to come on board.

Flat seas and a good bite. Don’t get any better than that. Congrats on good day.

very nice! Don’t wait too long to get the boy out there. I waited till Alex was 4 months before his first offshore trip, had to be 10 months to make his first giant bft trip. Best to train them young.

That looks like a fun day on the pond. Good on you to be able to trade baby poop for fish guts.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Chunky is normally a head shooter. Looks like he was off a bit yesterday. Makes for alittle more excitement when you split one down the middle.

Sounds good. I have not been diving in a while. The wife wants a lobster and I owe one to a buddy in Spartanburg. We need to get on them! One of cf.com’s bottomfishing celebs wanted to go catch some on the rod and reel but backed out on me due to work. I am sure we can post some pics for him though.
