After my and Yellabirds day Friday. Chunky teamed up with LnS Marine and Pallet to head out looking for the only piece of the puzzle we lacked. The ever so elusive Hogfish and lobster.
After a late start due to LnS work comments they left MI at 2pm and headed toward the fishing grounds. Upon arrival Pallet determined he was without a wet suit and was forced to battle the jellyfish and thermocline with noting but a bathing suit. The ocean was choppy and the vis was marginal at best but they ended with some grouper and found the lobster and hogs.
Another good day at it.
We had a blast at MI last week. Going back to work tomorrow is going to stink!

Sah weet! It appears the one on the right put up a fight. Have you guys tried snares here? I can usually grab them by hand, but i’ve been diving some tricky ledges lately.
Those are some quality bugs there. Nice job on the hogs too.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Take me to some of your live bottom numbers. I will gladly shoot you one. Last week we were fortunate enough to catch dolphin, wahoo, African Pompano, king mackerel, BSB, B-liners, gags, scamp, triggers, and hogfish.
The hogfish is the best! That is my opinion anyway.
