All this rain water…

Hoping to fish this weekend if the weather clears. I fish creeks off the Wando. How will all this additional fresh water affect the fishing? Shrimp, trout, reds going to be seeking higher salinity?

Probably will push a lot of fish and shrimp downstream. Might be a lot of action real near the coast if you can find clear water… castle Pinckney, fort Sumter and moultrie, etc

On the flip side, reds don’t mind a little low salinity tannic water, might get some of that up paradise area coming outta wambaw

Let us know how you do, looking much calmer after tomorrow!

Whatever happened here?

I seen a bunch of bassmasters at cypress gardens
Wonder if they caught anything?
I bet you could see the tannic acid in the prop wash if you went to the Wando

Early this AM, last couple hours of low, worked from Nowell creek/Wando over to Pitt st bridge. No shrimp but some FM in spots that are usually loaded with bait. Saw some bow wave reds on the oysters but they weren’t interested in the Zman I was throwing. Finally found decent schools of FM and a couple shrimp near the Wando. No trout bite for me on a shallow spot that usually holds fish. Water very dark. Fished near Cove/Sullivans and found some reds. Couple pods of dolphins arrived and everything shut down. Water much clearer there. Beautiful out, dead calm. Spoonbill out this AM too.

Even city water is all jacked up…

Well, I hadn’t been on the water for quite a while but fished yesterday and was skeptical of the brownish gold colored waters but the Reds didn’t care. I hooked nearly 20 landed 8 none to the hill at 11:30.
