Fishing jetties near Dynamite Hole, bottom fishing with Carolina rigs and large menhaden, incoming tide. Had a hard strike, and then another that was much harder that nearly spooled me of 30 lb braid on a Penn 750, couldn’t stop it. It finally eased up with about 2-300 feet of line, when it was about 50 feet behind the boat it surfaced, looked like a nice redfish until…

Something much bigger than this redfish was hungry, and took us both for a ride.

That had to be one big shark to take that big of a bite…Holy bajezzus!!!

There are some monster nasty cuda at the jetties and the cans on the way out…but I’ve seen plenty of 10’+ sharks come out of there too.

I’m guessing that was about a 30" redfish. Probably a bull shark.
