Lot’s of small does. Not sure if all the rain has run them out the swamps and into the fields, but it is ridiculous. Got two fields that need replanting when we can get back in them. Counted 42 yesterday in just three fields.
I think we need to let some big bucks walk and focus on all the scrub bucks and even more focus on thinning out some does.

Is that what you are implying Bulbie? We’ve had enough surrounding land owners pissed at us, I’ll not further rub it in their faces. Simple fact all the surrounding land owners have no use for deer meat, only a rack to hang on the wall. The Does are over populated and we have high ground. The deer can’t sleep in the surrounding neighbors swamp.
Do you post any pictures? good day to you Sir bulbie.

I can put you in touch with the area FHFH (Farmes & Hunters Feeding the Hungry) if you need to get rid of some meat. They donate the meat along with a box of groceries to the hungry. Send me a PM if interested.

Chewy I don’t believe the FHFH has a Local Program in S.C. What we have is the HLFH. http://www.schuntersforthehungry.org/index.html
This is the most we’ve taken on depredation permits and all meat has been claimed What meat we donate we do through a Georgetown processor Big Buck Horn Deer Processing.</font id=“blue”> that a member takes too.
I guess I should show some pictures for Bolbie. But I probably won’t. Bolbie, what you doing tomorrow? We are leisurely hunting off a few golf carts, I get to take my son with me!
I know you will doubt this with out pictures, but I fib not. About 2 hours ago we counted 36 in two fields. QDM has a lot of flaws. IMO. People looking for antlers don’t shoot enough does and scrub bucks. Them little scrub buck are steady planting seed while the big bucks are fighting further passing on scrub buck genetics.
what area of the state is all this good news coming from? I lease land in the Holly Hill/Providence area. I’m hopin it’s some where close by…
