and it dose not have a live well can one be installed ?
is this a good deal? this is my first time buying a boat i dont know if its a good deal or not , he wants a grand
any help would be great.
thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good deal if boat is welded it’s worth a grand… You can find used live wells on Craig’s list or make one out of a cooler… If motor runs, boat doesn’t leak, and it has a trailer defiantly worth the money…

Yes, if the boat is in good shape, the motor runs fine, and the console appears to be installed properly (ie, nothing loser-rigged or otherwise shoddy done), then it’s definitely worth a grand, esp. if it comes with the trailer in good shape.

Note that older Evinrudes can occasionally be tricky to find parts for. Usually they are easy enough to locate but there are some obsolete parts on them. As for the live well, I use a large cooler. Not very convenient (slopping water with a small pail) and usually I don’t even bother unless I want to use it for live bait. Fish always go on ice for me anyhow, even though they can shrink a little once they get cold.

What year hull and motor?

1979 i think

I am w mccurry, if the motor runs, boat doesnt leak and it comes w a trailer a grand seems like a good price. I paid 2000 for my first boat and for the three years I had it, I def had 2 grand worth of fun in it. thing is you can probably re sell it for a grand when ever you decide you need a new boat.
