Amended post: To the guy at Ned's Sunday morning

I just found out that this “gentleman” was not a guide, so I took any reference to that out of my post. My original post was and still is directed at him. Not at all guides. All of the guides I have ever met have been nothing but nice.

We pulled into Ned’s about 5:15am Sunday morning. There were 2 boats ahead of us. Then a guy in a Sea Pro pulls in behind us. The 1st guy leaves and we pull up. Just as the guys in front of us were finishing paying up, Sea Pro pulls around on the left, throws the hose under their trailer and gets Carolyn to turn on the water. My buddy makes a couple of comments about cutting in front. The guy ignores him and continues on, checking his watch & shaking his head. Carolyn says something about him having a party and he’s a really nice guy. When he was getting out of the boat, I tell him how much I appreciated him jumping in front of us and it was kind of a dick move. He should have got up 10 minutes earlier. While she was helping us, he tossed some cash on the table, no thank you or anything to her, and bolts off. It happened so fast, she didn’t even know that he left any money.

This is post is aimed directly at him. Buddy you were an a$$hole Sunday morning. You were rude and impatient. I’m sorry you were running late for your trip. But that does not give you the right to do what you did. I hope you caught fish. I also hope you had a flat tire. Have a nice day.

and if he had been nice about it you probably would have not minded too much

sounds like he afflicted with anal cranial inversion, hopefully he’ll get cured

Exactly. I just had a real guide call to tell me that this guy was a recreational fisherman and actually a really nice guy. Couldn’t prove it to me by his actions on Sunday. I will though, give him the benefit of the doubt. Apparently his head was somewhere else that day.:smiley:

No excuse for that behavior ever. You snooze you lose. His fishing day isn’t any more important than yours: party, or no party. Get out of bed if you need to be first in line.

You’re right, there’s no excuse, but it’s not the first time I’ve seen things like this happen. Whether it’s at the bait shop or boat ramp or even in stores. Some people just feel like they shouldn’t have to wait in lines. Their time is more important than anyone else’s and they will take any opportunity to jump ahead. How many times have you waited patiently for a parking spot, just to have someone jump in it ahead of you? I just hope they’re willing to jump into my coffin before I get to it.

I said what I had to say to him at the time and he wanted to be a dick, so shame on him. Hopefully he reads this and realizes what he did was wrong. If not, oh well. Karma is a b*tch.
