this is prolly a waste of a post but is ammo any better to find in sc now? im soon leaving ohio and going to georgia but stopping in sc along the way. i was able to nab 300 rounds of 9mm, 200 rounds of .22 short, 50 rounds of .38 special, and 100 of .22LR while i was home but the south getting more available at all or do you have to be there right when the shipment comes in? i was lucky today with .22 LR since i was there when the shipment came in. he got 10 boxes of 100 with only 2 remaining when i left 15 minutes later and no sign of relief in sight.
No. Everywhere is still pretty much in “panic-mode”. I found some the other day in Walmart and was limited to 3 boxes of 333 rounds. AR-15 style rifles are back on the shelves, but ammo (9mm, .38, .45 and .22) is still in short supply. At least at my local Walmart. You can find it, but you have to be in the right place at the right time.

I lucked into 3 boxes of 45 ACP at the local Walmart Sunday. Snatched them up. Went by Dicks next to Citadel mall today and they had a decent supply of 5.56 and 40 cal, but their policy is that you can only buy one box per caliber. Doesn’t bother me since I don’t need those. Dick’s also had a 200 round box of Blazer 45 ACP, but I didn’t have $110.00 to get it.

That’s outrageous for a brick of .22lr.
Been finding 9mm and .40, but no .22lr.
i refuse to pay $80 for a brick of .22! it was bad enough paying $14 for 100 but i only got those to make sure i have enough to sight in and shoot squirrels with on top of the 200ish i had before. .22 short wasnt much better but i got a few so my wife could shoot them out of the revolver to stay proficient with a handgun. guess all i can do is keep checking the ammo cabinet every time im somewhere that sells it.
Why buy retail? You can buy online. The site above searches for the cheapest ammo by caliber.

Was at PSA in Columbia this week they had lots of .223 Target ammo, lots of 9mm FMJ ammo, but no .40 Or .380 FMJ prices were higher than a year ago but not overly so . Those were the only calibers I paid attention to
