Ammo warning

I always shoot my caring ammo about once a month.
Usually use sig v crown 9mm- 115 grain. Or Federal hydro shock.
Got a box of Hornady critical duty 115. Shooting out of a sig p365. Had 2 malfunctions.Close to 1,000 rounds through the weapon never a malfunction.
Just a reminder always try out your carry ammo.
Looks like I’ll be using my own loads Rocky mountain JHP 124 grain. For the time being. But was told by an attorney your better off using store-bought ammo then your own reloads.Just one less thing to argue .

.
Go back to the range today with the chronograph. See what kind of velocity getting out of the horn today. Don’t think the hornaday is meant to shoot out of a 3.1-in barrel.

ever experiment with a little mercury wax sealed in a hollow point? Only good for close distances. throws the balance off the bullet.

remember growing up and people talking about getting shot with rock salt? that’s a myth unless you are 6 feet or closer. It instantly turns to powder. What works on that level is to cook some rice super salty them put it out in the sun to dry and pack your shells with that. You can get out to about 15 yards for a non lethal arse blisterer.

Ever see the “day of the Jackal”. old movie but pretty good for a rainy day. He used em. Just rambling on… rain ran me in.

Definitely don’t play with any mercury. As it is I’m surprised I don’t go in the dark. Things I ben exposed to painting cars and motorcycles, brakes, I used to spray urethane foam. And a wonderful things the Marine corps exposed me to.

Made it to the range this afternoon. Had 28 of the Hornady rounds left. Fired 9 rounds through m&p shield performance center one failure to feed. Fired the remaining 19 from a sig p225. An absolutely flawless weapon. Near 10,000 rounds without an issue. Two failures to feed and a case ejection failure.

And the brighter side. There was 3 black guys out there. One of them had a new AK with a red dot couldn’t get it sighted in. I helped him out. And let him shoot in my 300 blackout. Would have never mentioned race but this was hilarious. When they were leaving They all yelled out Trump 2020.More brothers support Trump that you’ll ever know. Two of them are national guard the other kid going in the army the first of the year.
Oh yeah Fred I got rid of that 458 couldn’t afford to shoot it.
Actually come out a couple dollar ahead if I don’t figure the gas and time to sell it.

Hindsight is 20/20 I wish I would have built a few more ar’s when the prices were cheaper and got some more amo. My father in law want’s a 300 black out, my son was able to build a few months back for $400-500 It’s now doubled … and on back order.

That 458 is a bear. I still haven’t taken it hunting. On the red dot… Have you tried the fiber optic sights? I won’t go back to a red dot.

Fred. I must be living in a cave. I did not know they made fiber optics for an AR. Noticed thay have been on the market for a few years. shame on me.
TruGlo TFO. Trillium For A2 site got one on the way. I see a couple more in the near future. And do a little more homework on the flip sites.
Good info thanks a lot!!!.

And for the ammo and weapons shortage the only way that’s going to get better is if Trump gets re-elected.
I’m a dumbass I got caught with my pants down a bit on this. My cheap a$$ was waiting for for a sale & no hazmat.I kind of figured things would get scarce getting close to the election. Then the beer virus popped up. oh well

These things used to be outrageously priced, the Trijicon’s are still up in the $1000 + range.

I paid about $150 for a Wipboten (clone) and love it. No batteries or worries about turning off the red dot or having a dead battery next use.

If you scroll down on this link they have a good video on comparing the clones to the Millitary Trijicon.

I’m not one to spend big bucks on optics either. I have a holoson holographic sights on a couple ar pistols. And a scope on ar 10. Other than that I really like iron sights. I’m excited about this fiber optic. I can’t wait.
A couple years ago picking up one of my guys for work. I ran across a caught his a$$ cheating sale. I got a ArmaLite AR-10 and a trijicon ACOG. Both of them brand spanking new. Almost ashame of what I paid for them. $390 a coffee cup full of change, a framing hammer, sawzall and a100 foot drop cords. I didn’t ask.
she filled out a bill of sale and I got a copy of her driver’s license.
I traded the acog for a SW 44 mag pre-lock & cash. My guy said it appeared she was gone from the house when he got home that night. And all of his stuff piled up at the road.and that Saturday the manager company had people out there picking it up and cleaning out the house.

I don’t own any guns, they are dangerous and scary.

"Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It's Hand", but really, who cares?

Sorry Dfreedom. Was not thinking about everyone’s feelings. But we were talking about airsoft. I know that also can be somewhat frightening. Hopefully none of this speech has caused irreparable damage to you or anyone else.We all might need to go to our safe room and sing kumbaya
