I bought mine from agriculturesolutions. 3/4"x8’ fiberglass finished rod for $9–$17 w/shipping? Think it was $30 for the two I bought shipped to 29461. Works brilliantly just like the brand names only thing i had to do was buy two pvc t-fittings and glue them on the ends. I used a bench grinder to create a sharp tip as well and added lanyards. Friend did the same after seeing mine. Easy and cheap DIY anchor sticks. Save yourself a lot of money, trust me. 2 sticks for $30.
Just ordered one…thx for sharing

That’s a great price. For those wanting 10’, sure you could add 2’ on the top with PVC. I actually made one out of 4’ of wood dowel (sanded to a point on one end) topped with PVC (they overlap about 2’). I think I only used 1/2" dowel and smallest PVC diameter that would fit over the dowel so PVC would have enough flex. I screwed through the PVC into the wood dowel along a few places in overlap and sealed everything with caulk. Made a T-handle with PVC and put an eye bolt at top to connect line. Was pretty cheap and works pretty well but fiberglass penetrates the mud a little better than the wood dowel does.
I bought two 10 ft long grounding rods from Home Depot and topped em with drilled out 2x2’s. Then ran a cord through the wood. Painted up the wood, glued the wood to the rods… right at $14 for the pair.
