Anchor Trolley Install

I bought all the stuff to install my anchor trolley but had a quick question. I am using a Harken Micro Cheek Block Pulley at the stern and a Harken Micro Block Pulley at the bow, connected with a short piece of bungee cord (as instructed by someone here). How far from the tip of the bow and the tip of the stern should my anchor points be for my trolley line? I am kind of leery about drilling that first hole so I want to do it right the first time.

Thanks

Oh, what function does the piece of bungee cord serve?

I want to say mine is about 6-8" from the stern. I think. I did not run mine all the way to bow. Mine runs up to just past mid way on the boat. Works great for me.

I have a D rind mounted just up from the stern. Another D ring just forward of the middle of the boat and cleat just behnd me. Small SS ring in the middle and a small piece of bungie cord connecting them.

Simple system that works for me.

And the bungie helps keep the line tight when nothing is on it. Also helps to absorb hard hits like boat wakes or what ever. I never tried bungie before this rig, I guess it does its job good enough to recamend doing it.

I had Time Out install mine with mine and thier input on function. My boat has more curvature up front. So it is about 13" from the bow. But I don’t have much curvature at all near the stern so it’s mounted 6" from the stern.

Mine is about 18" from either end. Use the curve of the sides as your guide.
