What are some cheap options for an anchor in and around the flats? I’ve tried a push pole, but it didn’t seem to work well in the pluff and current when I wanted to hold my position at creek mouths.
Take an empty liquid laundry soap jug, when you get out, fill it up with water and drop it down… it’ll keep ya in place. I have a 5lb neoprne covered dumbell tied off to GP line and it works well too…

took nikons idea when i first got my yak. 5 lb dumbell some line and you have a around $7 anchor that works.

I’ve got a Stake out Stik and 10 lbs of old cast net weights that I melted and poured in a Coke can. both work great.
