Anyone know why so many boats have been anchored off of Ft. Sumter? Took the family to Morris Island today and there was at least 50 boats anchored that way.

I saw them there last weekend. It looks like it’s the opposite side of the channel from the grillage. I moved past on my way out to the jetties. I didn’t get any good intell but I’m curious myself!!!

That’s Charleston Grande Pass. Good redfishing in there. Everyone anchors on top of each other. Welcome to the new breed of Charleston fishing guides.
After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.

quote:No, closer to the short range marker on the ocean side of Fort Sumter. You honestly can't miss the 10-25 boats that fish it everyday.

I was out there the other day Fritz, was listening to the chatter on 65, seemed a couple of guides were getting pissed about “people getting down into their space” quite a bit.
Gotta say its not my cup of tea being stacked up on each other like that, plus i had 6 oz of lead on and couldn’t hold bottom.
cheers
