This might be a dumb question but thats ok. Is it ok to use a danforth at the Grillage?

Charleston’s #1 shark fisherman should be able to answer this one.
Rad daddy,
What’s the name of your charter company?
You seem to be on a mission to slam someone else’s biz . What’s the name of yours?

Use a big Danforth with as much chain as possible( at least 10- 20ft) with 200 ft of rope. Current is hard there.
quote:Be prepared to lose any anchor you drop in the grillage area. A Danforth style anchor works fine and it is what most people use. A decent amount of chain helps also. 200' of rope is nice to have but if you anchor in 34' of water you won't need most of it.

Raddaddy you want to have a fishoff at the grillage? If you are scared just say you are scared. I understand.

A fish off at the grillage would be like Johnson and Gordon racing Kia’s around Daytona… Slow, boring and not much skill required.
Then I challenge you as well Jughead.

Game on. One caveat - since you are on the water every day, we both start with the same bait on board, no radio’s or cell phones - none. Fair enough?

I sell welding supplies and fasteners this time of the year. By the way my fishoff challenge is mocking the whole fishoff concept. But if you want to do it be there tomorrow morning around 11. See you then. I will be the boat bringing them over the rail one after another.

Easy Fritz, looks like he has got 3 whole years experience fishing our beatiful low country waters. Must have brought down some secret Walleye or Yellw Perch catching tricks.
“If it were catching, Everyone would be good at it.”
Reminds me of a lesson I learned in New Orleans walking down Bourbon Street. A black street kid about 11 years old came up to us and said “Mistuh, those are some really nice shoes”. I said thank ya. He said “I bet you 20 bucks I can tell you where you got dem shoes” I said no way. Then he broke out into a little tap dance and rap, “where ya got dem shoes is on ya feet and where ya got dem feet is on my street. Bourbon Street”
I couldn’t argue with him a bit and gave him the $20. He said " Mistuh, I’ll give you $20 worth of advice, don bet a man working his home street" Out of the mouth of a kid.

This guy says hello. He was banned a few years back for not following orders in the political section of this site, as most people that have been banned.
He really wanted to catch a shark though and I couldn’t produce one.
