And we have a tournament

I have been working with CCPRC for a few months to put together a Charity Kayak fishing tournament for us and those who may come from out of town to participate. The charity for this year is MUSC Kids. The registration form and rules will be posted on the CCPRC web site shortly and I will post the link here first. The prizes are still coming in and I don’t want to talk about them until I have a complete list however, I will say that more than 50 companies have been contacted including Charleston Angler, St. Croix rods, Penn reels, Nautilus reels and many more. The event will be on the 21st of April with a Captian’s mtg on the 20th. More to come as the event solidifies.

Sounds great!! Do you have an idea about when?

Yeah, Capitan’s Meeting on 20th and the tournament on the 21st.

There will always be a large group of people that will be preyed upon, consumed by predators just like in a school of fish.
Some fish don’t venture out into the deep water, others do so only when they’ve developed big teeth, but most just swim along looking at how blue the water is.

markbob, goodjob on getting this together!

you might want to post this info on “kayakfishingstuff.com

Great job on this , looking forward to it.

Yeah, i do intend to post there, however, when the day I posted this CCPRC told me that the registration form and rules etc would be on their website so I started typing and went to get the link. Low and behold the website had not yet and still has not yet been updated. I called to talk to them everyday since and finally got ahold of someone who said they’d get back to me. I was just holding off until I can post the link for everyone as well.
I don’t get the crowd of people for predators post, anyone?

Cool, the link works and takes you to the spot where you can sign up for the event. I am still working on getting the rules and such posted, but this is a start. I am going to post this on several sites that I know of, feel free to help out and post where ever you don’t already see it.

Mark, will there be an assigned fishing area for all participants or will they be free to go to they’re favorite holes?
I’m asking only because I don’t know. Thanks!

Where you fish is up to you as long as you make the check in time. The rest of the rules should be posted in the details section of the link I posted above soon.
