Was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a good mechanic that is willing to work on my engine - at my neighborhood boat ramp. In other words - I am looking for a mechanic to come to the boat.
This is routine annual “100 hour” service for my 2006 Yamaha 115 hp 4-stroke. Oil, plugs, oil & H2O filters, lower unit grease etc.
I keep the boat in the water and normally put it on the trailer and do the work myself in my driveway. Due to several contraints, I won’t be able to do the work myself this year.
I already have a quote from “Mobile Marine”. I like to have a couple of options and was wondering if anyone can recommend any other companies/mechanics.
Give Brandon Goller a call (843) 476-2543.
He is Jim Goller’s son. Jim posted a while back that Brandon is an outboard technician who is looking for some side work.
My marine mechanic is Danny Jones at Muddy Bay Marine just outside the Newberry town limit. He knows Yamahas both new and old, and has my old 175 running better than ever! If you end up taking your rig out to get the work done, I can get you his #.
