Should trim tabs have anodes on them? I have Bennett trim tabs and my boat is primarily used in freshwater.

I installed new rudder zincs on the Bennett tabs on my last boat that stayed in brackish water. I also painted the trim tabs with anti-fouling paint. Never had any problems with them.
you should only need them if you leave it in the water for long lengths of time. If you are leaving it in the water, use magnesium anodes, not zinc. Look at your engine anodes, are they corrodeing? That should be an indication of any posible electrolisys
