SF,
Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to welcome me into the kayak/fishing community on Sunday(in between catches). I’m sure your tips and tricks will help me out next time I bring my son out. I’m sure I’ll see you out there again sometime soon.
Thanks,
timbuck2
Hey TimBuck2
You’re welcome, glad I could help. It was nice meeting a local. I have a detailed posting here on the rig (the patented “Stinky Fingers Redfish Slayer” ) that I use. Let me know if you can’t find it and I’ll email it to you.
Just wait till your son hooks up with a nice monster red, then you’ll have no choice but to fish more often. I would be interested in doing some wade fishing there sometime. Leave the kayak at home and stalk the reds by foot. Let me know if you want to try that on some high tide. I can pick up the bait on the way in.
Just remember the Golden-Rule!!! What happens in the “Bay” stays in the “Bay”

Willy???
Are you asking me to “break” the Golden Rule??? [:0]
Okay…okay… I was in Redfishville Bay
Most of my hits came off of dead/frozen finger mullet on a falling tide Sunday.

SF,
Would love to stalks the Reds on foot, but I’m still in the (re)learning phase of fishing. I’ll probably be ready for that a little down the road. I’ll post a photo if/when me or the boy catch one of those monster’s that escape from you. See you out on the Bay.

Hey TB2
This will be my first time looking for reds by foot too, I’m thinking about giving it a go Sunday afternoon, there’s a 6.0 foot tide at 7:33 pm. The tides there usually run between 4.5 to 5.5 foot. Low tide is at 1pm Sunday, the grass doesn’t start to get wet until at least 2 hours after a low tide, so maybe 3 - 3:30 is a good time to start the hunt. I’ll check with some other folks to see if they know the timing. Let me know if you might want to try it Sunday.

SF,
Sorry I can’t make the PM tide with you. Kids and an accumulating honeydew list prevent this from happening. Let me know how the stalking on foot goes.
Good luck,
TB2
