Another Solid Day: 2/18/16

Other than being a little cooler than other days this week, we had a great day out on the water yesterday. We fished the Stono at low tide and fished until an hour before high. Water was pretty clear with a slight brownish tint. Air temp was mid 50’s and water temp was chilly to the touch. We fished some go-to spots and did pretty well. We ended up with 6 nice reds, and 3 specks. We missed 3 reds in the process.
All reds were caught on either a Zman 4" Scented Paddlerz in Mulletron or on a FishStalker Pro Shad Spin in Mud Minnow with a Mud Minnow-colored Zman Minnowz trailer. Reds were caught around docks and oysters in very shallow water (1-2ft). Trout were caught in deeper faster moving water on Saltwater Assassin 3.5" Die Dapper swimbaits with chartreuse tail rigged on TE jigheads. All in all, a great day!

Those copper reds are beautiful.

Good to know, fished up and down the Stono on Sunday, pretty windy but no luck using basically the same thing. Beer was good, radio was slamming so, not all lost!
