After taking forever to get to the launch I missed the dead low today but said what the heck. dropped the boat in and went to meet my dad who was out fishing in some secret shark honeyhole. Well motor my way on over there and get all set up. For a 4 somethin high tide the water was rocketing in where I was. Tied on a gulp mullet to fish around the shells while the big rod was out with a hunk of bonitio on the bottom waiting for JAWS. First cast with the gulp something nailed it, I set the hook and a jig head with about a inch of mullet left of it comes shooting my way. Missed something on cut mullet that bent the rod over then let go. And 3 hours later had to go to work since I sure wasnt catching dinner! Yet another fishless trip. Im at 8 trips now with nothing, hell at least im consistent.
