Another Tree Topic regarding liability

This is not me. But I have to ask for a dear friend (single lady) of ours in Beaufort.

A couple of large pines blew over from adjacent property and are leaning against a couple of hers. Its just a matter of time before they fall and will wipe out fence an possibly shed.

From a liability standpoint, if someone that is not licensed and bonded did this and was injured, would she be liable? I’m leaning toward yes, so I told her to hold off till I can get back down there Thursday and to call her homeowners Ins.

I’ve seen this squirrel take down a couple trees for neighbors, and he is good but this is another animal with the way these trees are leaning into the others.

Wanna help her out but safety first and everything else is second.

Thanks All,
NN

If the trees still have the roots in the ground and are just leaning over the property line, they still belong to the neighbor! If they are a danger I think this is where that certified letter would come in play!
