Saw a big school of menhaden there about a month ago, but not much action other than some mud minnows on my last visit 2 Saturdays ago.
Sadly, JI Creek is consistently rated as one of the more polluted creeks in the area according to Swim Guide and Charleston Water Keeper. Its up there with Shem Creek due largely to road runoff.
