Had the boat loaded and was ready to give it a try tonight, but after the horrible commute home in the deluge, and a look at the Radar, decided to put off my first nite of the season. Felt like an addict who missed scoring his fix. Going to try to make it out Thursday night. We are short in the office and just can’t get up to BB for a while. Anyone been to CB?
We tried it Saturday night walked a way with a gallon bag worth of decent size shrimp but it was more of a practice run for us and we only stayed out there about three hours.
Out there last night for first trip of the season. Kind of a last minute trial run. Only took 6 poles and used some leftover bait binder from last year. Still good, still smelled of fish of meal. Setup in 2 ft of water near dead low. Baited one pole and waited for the water to start moving. Saw our first shrimp and baited up the rest of the poles. Ran them about 4 times only getting about 2 or 3 per. Enough to cover the bottom of the cooler. Decided to cut it short because my net “man” (13 yr old daughter) had school the next day. Did I mention that she pancakes a 6’ net on the money every time? Took one we last run before pulling the poles and they were really
starting to get thicker. 6 to 10 per cast. Water was about 4ft on incoming when they really started to turn on. Tink we could have pulled a 1/2 cooler if we worked it another hour. Mixed size mostly medium.

Awesome! I am going to head out to crab bank soon and give it a shot. Does it matter which side of Crab Bank you set up on?
